Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated as you use Stokera, including:

  • Account information, such as your email address and Supabase user identifier.
  • Learning content and activity, including topics, curricula, lesson progress, quiz results, review history, audio-guide usage, and XP.
  • Device and usage data, such as pages viewed, clicks, navigation, performance, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, crash data, and diagnostic logs.
  • Advertising attribution, including UTM campaign parameters and identifiers such as fbclid.
  • Billing and subscription status if paid plans are enabled. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by Stokera.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, generate and personalize learning material, remember progress, process subscriptions, troubleshoot problems, understand product use, improve Stokera, measure advertising, and communicate about the account or service.

Automated systems and third-party AI providers may process learning topics and generated content to deliver the requested curriculum, lesson, quiz, or audio guide.

Analytics, replay, and advertising

Stokera uses PostHog for product analytics and session replay, Sentry for error monitoring and replay around errors, and Meta Business Tools for advertising measurement. These tools may use cookies or similar storage and may collect interaction, device, network, and campaign data automatically.

Session replay can record page content, navigation, taps, clicks, scrolling, and interface state. Login and other form inputs are configured to be masked. PostHog capture is sent through a first-party Stokera endpoint so browser extensions are less likely to block operational analytics.

Meta may use data it receives according to its own terms and controls, including to measure ads and build advertising audiences.

When we share information

We share information with service providers that operate Stokera, including Supabase, Vercel, PostHog, Sentry, Meta, AI model providers, and Stripe when billing is enabled. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or support a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising disclosures and opt-out rights can differ by location, and some laws may define targeted advertising or certain data sharing as a “sale” or “sharing.”

Retention and security

PostHog session recordings are configured for a 30-day retention period. Other account, learning, analytics, billing, and diagnostic records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security, subject to provider and plan limits.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also use browser controls to limit cookies, although blocking storage can affect sign-in and analytics behavior.

To make a privacy request, email privacy@stokera.ai. We may need to verify that you control the relevant account.

Children and policy changes

Stokera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.

We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date; material changes may also be communicated in the product or by email.
